MISSION AND CULTURE: Wings of Hope (WoH) (wingsofhopeok.com) is committed to breaking the cycle of interpersonal violence by providing safety, hope and empowerment to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking. We currently have a wonderful staff of professionals and volunteers, including licensed therapists, certified advocates, and undergraduate and graduate interns. Our facility is a multi-million dollar, state of the art, gated, secure facility with a nine-family unit shelter in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Our organizational culture is warm, family friendly, committed, invested, and enjoys strong community relationships. We take time to celebrate and develop our staff. We have evidence-based, trauma-informed counseling, advocacy, and educational programs, satellite offices in surrounding communities, and a volunteer-run, boutique-style resale store.
JOB SUMMARY: The Executive Director/Chief Development Officer (ED) has overall responsibility for the organization’s consistent achievement of its mission and financial objectives. The ED is accountable to the agency’s Board of Directors. The ED serves as the chief administrator and primary revenue generator of WoH and manages through delegating all advocacy, education, operations, and outreach functions.
ANNUAL SALARY: $68,000 - $78,000 depending on qualifications and experience
RELOCATION ASSISTANCE: For out of area transfers, we are pleased to offer up to $2,000 to help with moving expenses.
ANTICIPATED START DATE: January 1, 2022; with earlier availability welcome
LOCATION: Stillwater, Oklahoma is “America’s friendliest college town” and ranked as one of the top 100 best places to live in the U.S. (small to mid-sized cities). A diverse community of 45,000, it offers a historic downtown, excellent public schools, a highly rated medical center, and home to Oklahoma State University and all that a vibrant academic and athletic environment provides. The individual in this position is, first and foremost, our community liaison; consequently, we expect the ED to live in or within 30 miles of Stillwater.
WE’RE LOOKING FOR: an individual with experience as an executive director or assistant executive director of a non-profit, significant experience in organizational management, non-profit fundraising; minimum bachelor’s degree required; licensed counselor or background in social work preferred
COMPETITIVE APPLICANTS WILL ALSO HAVE: an awareness of mental health services and the dynamics of interpersonal violence; experience in grant writing and administration, marketing and brand development.
